Blessing of the Food / Poświęcenie pokarmów

On Holy Saturday, many Christians—especially in Central and Eastern Europe—bring baskets of food to church to be blessed by a priest. This tradition symbolizes gratitude for God's gifts and the end of Lenten fasting. The baskets often include eggs (symbol of new life), bread, salt, meats, and sometimes lamb-shaped cakes. The blessed food is then shared during the Easter Sunday breakfast, celebrating the joy of Christ's Resurrection.
